What is Lonikot?

Lonikot is a PRIVATE Eco friendly 10 acre farm that is owned by Suryakumar Lamech (Ivan) and his wife Purnima Lamech (Pixie). Surya is an agriculturist and his wife Purnima is a nutritionist by profession. Situated 55 kms off the Allahabad - Rewa highway in the small fishing village of Lonipar, Lonikot has been developed by them with the following vision.

• To forest the area and bring back its original eco system
• To provide a refuge for the various species of birds, bees and insects that are dying out.
• To encourage organic farming among the neighbouring farmers.
• To offer families a safe and serene place to relax in and be one with nature.
• To provide employment to the villagers.

Sitting on a tila and flanked by two rivers , the Loni and the Tamas (Tons), it offers a stunning view of the pristine river Tamas. This along with its naturally developed forest area, walking paths and ponds gives it a unique beauty seldom seen anywhere near Allahabad.
The koti itself was built 450 years ago by the Devra Royal family and lay in ruin until Surya and Purnima restored it to its present status. Other than its natural beauty it also provides a home for different species of birds, bees, insects and a variety of butterflies, making it a nature lover's dream come true.
